Announcing: Orange Quarterly REVIVAL Issue Launch

We are ecstatic to announce the return of Orange Quarterly with the publication of our new REVIVAL issue!

At last, after five years, Orange Quarterly is back with a phenomenal lineup, featuring celestial artwork by Michael Dicken, anxious fiction by Joseph Moore, and eighteen poems by ten different poets, including Victoria Le, Keith Taylor, and Mike Zhai, winner of the inaugural Green House Poetry Prize this year. This fifth official issue of Orange Quarterly also includes interviews with OQ 5’s talented contributors and embedded audio of poets reading their work.

Now released through our independent literary arts publishing house Green House Press, Orange Quarterly is already revving up for all the excitement we have coming soon, including new calls for submissions (open year-round!), internship opportunities (based in Cadillac, Michigan, or remotely online), and nominating #OQrevival contributors for the Pushcart Prize. Stay tuned!

Thank you to our talented contributors and to all who submitted to Orange Quarterly and this year’s Green House Poetry Prize for letting our editorial team review so much great work. Please enjoy and share this free collection of excellent new poetry, literature, and art far and wide, and celebrate the exciting #OQrevival with all of us at Green House Press!

Green House Poetry Prize open throughout National Poetry Month

The Green House Poetry Prize was founded the same day as Green House Press in honor of our mission to promote the appreciation and accessibility of poetry. We accept submissions annually throughout National Poetry Month (deadline: April 30), and we’re open to all styles.

Through Submittable, please send up to seven previously unpublished poems (written in English) in one document (totaling up to ten single-spaced pages) with each poem appearing at the top of a new page.

Simultaneous submissions are allowed, though please withdraw your work as soon as possible if it is accepted elsewhere. Simultaneous submissions to Orange Quarterly are accepted yet must also be submitted to the Green House Poetry Prize category for contest consideration.

At least one winner in addition to any finalists will be named. All will be notified via email and announced on our website before the summer. The winner(s) will receive publication in Orange Quarterly, a featured interview on the Green House Blog, recognition on social media, and $100 cash.

Join and share our Facebook event as a reminder to submit, and follow Green House Press and Orange Quarterly for more updates going forward. Happy National Poetry Month!
